What to install and test
"Installed" doesn't mean "ready." You need to actually open each app, log in, link your card, and make sure it works before you're standing in a Chinese airport with no Wi-Fi.
What to do
- 1
Open every essential app at least once before you fly. Log in, poke around, find the main function.
- 2
Complete any verification the app asks for: phone number, ID, card linking, selfie. Do it on good internet.
- 3
Switch to English if available. Learn where the "pay" or "scan" button is.
- 4
Screenshot the successful setup state. If something resets, you'll know what "working" looked like.
Double-check before you rely on this
You can log in without needing a verification code sent to a number that won't work abroad.
Payment and booking apps show your current account (not a login screen).
You know which tasks might still need staff help after landing (like SIM activation).
