Before choosing a route

• Save your hotel’s Chinese address, branch and phone number. Check its map pin against the booking.
• Allow for immigration and baggage collection before deciding whether you can catch the last train and any connecting line.
• Compare total travel: station walks, changes, the final walk and any onward taxi. An express train only covers part of the journey.

Official taxi queue

• Follow the airport’s taxi signs and staff instructions. Confirm the destination and accepted payment before departing.
• Check the local fare display or ask queue staff about the fare basis, tolls and night charges. Save the receipt.
• Have a backup if the queue is long or your preferred payment method is unavailable.

Metro or airport rail

• Use the airport or operator’s current route planner for your terminal and hotel station.
• Check the last service in your direction and every connection; a flight landing before a published closing time is not enough.
• Ask at the ticket counter if the machine or app does not accept your payment. Check luggage and accessibility needs before entering.

Ride-hailing or arranged pickup

• Use the live price and pickup point in the app; do not assume it is cheaper than a taxi.
• Confirm your terminal, level and zone and match the vehicle to the booking before boarding.
• For hotel pickup, save the meeting point, contact number, waiting allowance and delayed-flight arrangements.
