Airport to hotel
Pick your route before you land and have a backup. Beijing traffic can be brutal, and the metro closes around 22:30–23:00.
What to do
- 1
From Capital T3: Taxi to city center ¥100-150 (40-80min depending on traffic). Airport Express to Dongzhimen ¥25 (20min, roughly 6:20-22:50 — check current schedule), then transfer to metro or taxi.
- 2
From Daxing PKX: Taxi to city center ¥150-250 (45-90min). Daxing Express to Caoqiao ¥35 (19min, roughly 6:30-22:30 — check current schedule), then Line 10.
- 3
Save your hotel's Chinese address. Show it to the driver — don't try to pronounce it. Example format: 北京市朝阳区XX路XX号XX酒店.
- 4
Arriving after 10pm? Skip the metro. Take a taxi from the official queue (follow signs for 出租车). It's worth the extra ¥50-100.
Double-check before you rely on this
You know where the taxi queue or pickup point is before leaving the terminal.
You can call or message the hotel if plans change.
Phone has enough battery and data for the ride (30–90 minutes depending on traffic).
