Booking name
The #1 hotel check-in problem for foreigners: the name on the booking doesn't match the passport. Get this right and everything else is easy.
What to do

Book using your passport name, in the same order it appears on the passport (usually SURNAME, Given Names).

Save the booking number, hotel's Chinese name, address, and phone number.

If someone else booked for you, save their name and the booking confirmation too — the hotel might ask.

Got a long name or unusual characters? Message the hotel before you arrive to make sure they have it right.
Double-check before you rely on this
Check-in date is correct after time zone changes (flying east can shift your arrival date).
The hotel can find your reservation using your passport name or booking number.
