Deposit and payment backup

Some hotels may ask for payment, deposit, or pre-authorization at check-in. Prepare more than one way to handle it.

What to do

    Bring the card used for booking if the hotel may need to verify it.

    Keep a mobile wallet, physical card, and small cash backup ready.

    Ask the hotel which payment methods it accepts before arrival if your setup is uncertain.

    Keep screenshots or receipts for deposits and refunds.

Check before you rely on it

  • Your card supports hotel pre-authorization if required.

  • Deposit amount and refund timing are clear enough before you agree.

  • You can still pay for transport and food after hotel payment.
