What to do when payment fails
Payment failure is usually a workflow problem, not a personal disaster. Slow down, switch method, and move to a staffed place if needed.

Do not repeatedly scan if the app shows a pending or unclear state.

Try the other wallet, another card, or cash if the amount is small.

Move to a front desk, ticket counter, or larger store when a staff member can help.

Use your hotel address and phrasebook page to explain the issue briefly.
